“My heart is at ease, knowing that whatever is meant for me will never miss me, and what misses me was never meant for me.” ~ Bob Marley
This may be one of the most grounding and releasing quotes I’ve ever heard. Do you agree?
Lately I’ve been reminding myself of this A LOT! Each time my mind goes…
“I want to be here. I should be doing this. How come this didn’t work out the way I thought it would?” …. I keep this notion close to me to remind me that where I am right now and what is here for me right now is as it is meant to be.
If something is part of my journey, it will happen and work out, in whatever way that looks. And if it’s not, it’s ok. Woops! I forgot again!
In that moment of this reminder, I feel a sense of freedom and spaciousness in the letting go of expectation. I’m continually learning to be ok with that. Can you be ok with that?
It’s easy to get stuck in the cycle of expectation, anticipation, disappointment, frustration, worry, comparison and all those other wonderful mind stories that ultimately teach us to remember that we are enough already. That we are exactly where we are meant to be and that stepping into these thought loops means stepping out of presence of the experience right now.
So next time you catch yourself in one of these acrobatic thought loops, remember what the great Bob Marley once said…
