Women’s Circles are an ancient ritual that have been present in many cultures and religious traditions around the world. Women and communities have been gathering in this way for a very long time, as a form of social interaction, being together and supporting one another.
I remember when I first started attending women’s circles. They came into my life at a time where I was exploring what it meant and felt like to be part of something larger than myself. I had friends in many different circles, but was never really part of a larger community or tribe. I knew that this was a missing piece in my wellness puzzle.
Each time we gathered, there was a feeling present within me that I could not ignore. This wasn’t just social time like getting a drink at a bar, a tea/coffee date at a cafe or watching movies on Netflix with your girlfriends… This was something deeper.
I felt strongly that this is part of who I am, and who we are as women. Coming together in circle, sharing stories, experiences, wisdom, creating, listening, laughing, crying, moving, dancing, writing, feeling, seeing, hearing, learning, realising, supporting… It felt so familiar and so natural…. Eventually, the Reconnected.me Women’s Circle was born. (See below for Circle Benefits!)
