Reconnecting with Sound: Lessons from the Native American Flute

The more I walk down this path of consciousness, expansion and heart opening, the more I reconnect with sound, vibration, music 🎢

I am currently learning to play the Native American Flute, which will no doubt start to show up in some of my offerings eventually. This instrument is mesmerising and touches me deeply…

Here’s what this beautiful sound healing instrument has reminded me of and shown me so far…

πŸŒ€ I am sound. I am vibration. Sound and music are the language of the soul. I can’t understand it intellectually, but I can feel it and experience the resonance.

πŸŒ€ Playing less from the mind, more from feeling, intuition, heart. Continuing to learn to relax into this space.

πŸŒ€ The importance of breath. Learning the flute has become part of my breath practice and is helping me further connect with it.

πŸŒ€ Get out of the way (mind). Allow the breath to carry the sound.

πŸŒ€ Being a complete beginner at something is simultaneously humbling and sometimes ego challenging… I want to be able to do it NOW! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

πŸŒ€ I am more capable than I realise. I forget this sometimes.

πŸŒ€ When I am learning something new and am not confident or “good at it” yet, I get nervous doing it in front of people 😬

πŸŒ€ It’s never “too late” to pick up and learn something “”new”.

πŸŒ€ Remember. I know what to do.

Have you experienced the felt sense of sound and music resonating through your body? If so, what has been your experience? And if not, I invite you to notice next time…
